The correct process for motor maintenance
1. Power outage
The first and most critical step in repairing the motor is to cut off the power. If maintenance work is carried out on the motor without power outage, the high voltage of the motor may cause injury to the human body. The voltage coefficient of high voltage is very high, and minor injuries can lead to physical disability, while severe injuries can lead to death. Therefore, power outage is the first step and must be done during motor repair.
2. Insulation
After the disassembly of the motor is completed, the plug of the power supply needs to be sealed with insulation material (insulation cloth or paper), and the shell and remaining wire heads must be short-circuited and grounded. People belong to a type of conductor, and electric current can move within the human body. To prevent electric shock from causing motor accidents and causing casualties, insulation work must be done well.
3. Fixed
After the maintenance is completed, the fixing work of the motor should also be done well. If the motor is not fixed properly, leakage may occur during transportation, which may cause injury or death to people. If the motor is unstable and falls off during oil processing, it will fall into a high-temperature container machine and overturn it, resulting in serious casualties. Therefore, after the motor is repaired, it is necessary to do a better job in terms of details.
4. Test machine
Machine testing is an important part of testing. If the motor still has hidden dangers and is reused without undergoing testing steps, the risk of accidents still exists. After the motor is repaired, it is necessary to check if there are still any errors in the motor, and avoid areas with high pedestrian traffic during the test run.
This book uses a large number of charts to introduce the basic knowledge of electric motors, motor windings, commonly used tools and materials for motor maintenance, common faults and maintenance of electric motors, motor folding and winding removal, motor winding rewinding, motor winding group painting and drying, motor inspection and testing, and other contents in easy to understand language.
The winding is an integral part of an electric motor. Aging, moisture, heat, erosion, foreign object intrusion, and external force impact can all cause damage to the winding. Overloading, undervoltage, overvoltage, and phase loss operation of the motor can also cause winding faults. Winding faults are generally divided into winding grounding, short circuit, open circuit, and wiring error. Now explain the fault phenomenon, causes, and inspection methods separately.
