Circuit boards are the most active industry in the contemporary electronic component industry,

playing an important role in the mass production of fixed circuits and optimizing the layout of electrical 

appliances. A circuit board can be called a printed circuit board or a printed circuit board, with the English 

name "Printed Circuit Board" PCB (Flexible Printed Circuit Board) FPC circuit board (FPC circuit board, also

 known as flexible circuit board) is a highly reliable and excellent flexible printed circuit board made of 

polyimide or polyester film as the substrate. It has the characteristics of high wiring density, light weight,

 thin thickness, and good bending performance. The birth and development of flexible printed circuit 

boards (FPC, Soft and hard combination plates) - FPC and PCB, This has given birth to the new product

 of soft and hard combination boards. Therefore, a soft hard combination board refers to a circuit board

 with FPC and PCB characteristics formed by combining flexible circuit boards and hard circuit boards 

through pressing and other processes according to relevant process requirements.

Circuit board classification

Circuit boards can be divided into three major categories based on the number of layers: single panel, 

double-sided board, and multi-layer circuit board.

Firstly, there is a single panel, where on the most basic PCB, the parts are concentrated on one side and

 the wires are concentrated on the other side. Because wires only appear on one side, this type of PCB is 

called a single sided circuit board. Single panel production is usually simple and cost-effective, but the

 disadvantage is that it cannot be applied to products that are too complex.

Double panel is an extension of a single panel, and when single-layer wiring cannot meet the needs of

 electronic products, double-sided boards are used. Both sides are covered with copper and have wiring, 

and the wiring between the two layers can be connected through vias to form the required network 

connection.

Multilayer board refers to a printed board with three or more layers of conductive graphics and insulating 

materials between them, which are separated and laminated, and the conductive graphics between them 

are interconnected as required. Multilayer circuit boards are a product of the development of electronic 

information technology towards high speed, multifunctional, large capacity, small volume, thinness, and

 lightweight.

Circuit boards can be divided into soft board (FPC), hard board (PCB), and soft hard combination board

 (FPCB) based on their characteristics.
